Well, it's the 24th of July~ Pioneer Day! It's only 98 degrees outside. We wanted to help Al Gore out with a little Global Warming so we invited Justin "T" and Kim and their kids (Justin is Scott's best friend growing up) over for a pizza party. We lit the fire and went swimming at Grandma's. Once we got back it was just about time to start the pizzas.
Starting the fire at 2:00 ~ and by 5:30 it's just about ready. Once it's at this stage the oven is HOT HOT HOT! If you put a log in the oven it would ignite in 15 seconds. But we take our handy dandy brass brush and brush all the coals to the back of the oven, do a quick mop of the oven floor and she is ready.
The pizza was again awesome. As you can see if you zoom in the oven is showing an easy 700 degrees. I am sure closer to the middle of the oven is much hotter. That pizza is just about done.
This was near the end of the eating. This is Justin T finishing up his. We had a great time with the Turks and ate some good pizza. It's so hard getting together in our busy lives but we need to work harder at getting together with them more often.
