Miles Baptism

2

Miles had a wonderful day. He was so excited. He could not sit still. It was very nice to have all our family and friends there and we appreciate everyone spending a Saturday to be with us.

The night before Scott asked Miles how long he should hold Miles under the water. Miles said "until the bubbles stop". We didn't talk much more about it but when Miles was dunked....Scott saw and heard the bubbles (Miles was actually blowing out bubbles). It almost made Scott laugh. So there was a little hesitation while Miles was under the water of how long Scott was going to hold him down. Pretty funny. It makes for a great story.

Fat Tuesday

Today is International pancake day. We took advantage of the free pancakes at IHOP. The kids loved it and it was nice that Jane didn't need to make dinner. Miles and Jane were the only ones to actually finish a small stack. And for the record Scott had poached eggs not pancakes.

Pruning Trees

1

I know it doesn't sound like fun to many of you. But I really enjoy pruning trees. Today was a great day to prune. The sun was out and it was pretty warm for the middle of February. The kids were at a primary activity and so Briggs and I worked in the yard. Here is Briggs helping hold down all the branches as we moved them.

Briggs also played in the mud and then fell down. Here is his "help I have fallen and can't get up" look.

Miles Birthday

Miles wanted a BYU cake. So that's what he got. Of course it was filled with Raspberry goodness. He also wanted Dutch Babies for his Birthday dinner.

Chuck E. Cheese

For Miles Birthday we asked him where he would like to go for dinner. We had never taken them to Chuck E. Cheeses before. I asked him if it would like to go there. He thought about it and said he was concerned about what Dad would eat (he realizes that Dad's diet doesn't include much pizza). What a thoughtful kid. We had a great time. The kids didn't care too much for the pizza but had a great time with the games.

One funny thing~ We were about ready to leave and a little boy about 2 walked up and started nibbling on our leftovers. It was really pretty funny. Jane cut a piece of pizza for him and he sat right down and started eating.

Thinking of Spring

1

This weekend Scott and the kids built a snowman and then we planted seeds for our garden. The snow isnt sticking around as much and planting the seeds made it really feel like Spring! We had a fun time picking out and sowing the seeds. It's also time to start pruning trees!
I LOVE SPRING!!!

It's really hard to believe we have an 8 year old but we are excited for Miles.
He is excited too!!
His baptism is scheduled for February 28th at 10:00. He will be baptized in the same font as his Dad and all of his Harmon side Aunts and Uncles at the JN Stake center (Lighthouse).
He would like to invite all of you to come if you can make it.

Samoas

We were recently invited to contribute to life a la mode and are excited to post some of our food adventures.
Just about everyone likes a good girl scout cookie. We happen to really like Samoas.
We found a recipe for Samoa bars at baking bites and so we made them today and they are awesome!!
