Samuel

Jane was scheduled today (her due date) to have the baby. They called us at 9:00 to come in. We arrived at the hospital at 10:00 and by noon she was numb from the waist down and having contractions.

At 4:00 things didn't seem to be progressing to fast. The Dr. came in at 4:55 and checked her and said "were having a baby!" We were both stunned. Well about 10 minutes later and about 3 pushes .... he officially arrived.

Lake Mary

Friday morning Scott woke the kids up early and they went on a little hike. They had a great time. The Brighton Lakes trail head is easy to get to and the trail to Lake Mary is pretty short.

In about an hour we were at the lake and the kids were spotting little fish.

After we checked out Lake Mary wee attempted to hike to twin lakes but were ambushed by mosquitoes in a marshy area of the trail so we turned back. It was way fun and next time we will take the trail further up to Lake Catherine.

4th of July

1

We hope everyone had a great 4th of July.
I was encouraged at church when we sang "America the Beautiful"I love the patriotic songs. "America! America! God mend thine every flaw" I think God is the only one that could mend some of the flaws we have currently and we pray for that.

We made it back to Salt Lake Saturday night for a little party at the Harmon's and the kids played tag with Grandma Harmon.

Just two pictures of Briggs. Loving his ice cream and asleep on the way home from Sugar House park fireworks.

I took this photo for my Dad.
1940 Ford Coupe.

Sugarhouse Fireworks

We went to our Top Secret viewing spot for the Sugar House fireworks. It is the best!! I hope they don't stop having them. It is just a fun tradition!
Thanks to M & J for sharing with us the "Top Secret" spot 15+ years ago~

The best thing about it..... you can be on the freeway home in 3 minutes!!!!

Chesterfield

Chesterfield is located between Lava Hot Springs and Soda Springs, Idaho and is an old pioneer town along the Oregon trail. It also happens to be near where Jane's Dad grew up.

We visited Toolie's and got the kids each an ice cream cone. Toolie's is a corner market in town. I think it's the only market in town. Scott was checking the expiration dates on all the food just to see if it was as old as it looked.

We then took a tour of Chesterfield. The highlight is always the Loveland home where we replaced the fence (and gate) back in 1997 for a service project.

Inkom Parade

The 4th of July in Inkom is great! They have a nice breakfast down at the city park and then everyone heads over to the parade on Main street. There are many people there...alot of them you know and it's fun to see everyone. Every "float" in the parade throws candy and the kids get plenty!!! It's so nice not to fight the crowds and punk kids.

We did hear and saw some photos of a flash flood they had on Main street just a few hours after the parade! :( The prettiest yard on Main street was just covered in mud.

This is the Place!

This is the third time we've gone to Heritage Park this summer with our friends (Amber and Alyssa) and I finally remembered to take a camera. There is so much to do there! We still haven't seen and done everything. This time we rode the train, did leather work, made candles, made dolls, had pony rides, fed the goates, shot a musket and played in the miniature village. It is so much fun, the kids can't get enough. The only time they complained is when we said it was time to go.

Thanks Amber for letting us tag along!!!
